These people are campaigning for
someone who is running for city
council in Taipei. During our visit, the city was holding elections.
Politics gets pretty ugly now in Taiwan, but very few want to go back to the
days of authoritarian rule. These folks supported a candidate from the People's
First Party--a party established by former Governor James Soong
