Reminder on
ὡς + future participle, expressing purpose

1) In the following phrases, change the verb to the future:

 

ὁ παῖς οἴκαδε βαίνει

 

ὁ ἀνὴρ δέχεται

 

ἡ γυνὴ ἀκούει

 

ὁ πατὴρ γιγνώσκει

 

οἱ πολῖται σπονδὰς ποιοῦσι

 

πάντα πράττουσι

 

τοὺς θεοὺς τιμῶμεν

 

2) Now adapt thephrase to complete the sentence using ὡς + future participle.

Ex. You sent the child to go home

= ἔπεμψας τὸν παῖδα ὡς οἴκαδε βησόμενον

 

 

You sent the man to receive...

 

You sent the woman to listen

 

 

The father listened to learn/know

=ὁ πατὴρ ἤκουσε ___________

 

The citizens came to make libation

 

They listened in order to do all
