An early Christian hymn on papyrus (Pap. Oxy. 1786) perhaps as early as the 200s AD.

The first few lines are too fragmentary even to guess at. But by the 4^th and 5^th lines the theme emerges: let all the world raise voices in praise:

‘Let not the light-bearing stars...

eclipse/leave off...not the gusts of the breezes or all the springs of rivers

rushing; but as we sing our hymn

to father, son and holy spirit (πνεῦμα) let all the forces (of the earth)

 raise up their voices, Amen Amen, power and praise,

[always and glory to God] (to him) alone giver
