Acquaint yourself with the aorist  (simple past tense)

                             = 'augment   +   stem   +   secondary endings':

 

                   ἔ  +  λαβ + ον, -ομεν   ἐ  + γεν + όμην, -ομεθα      

                             -ες,   -ετε                       -ου (< εσο), -εσθε      pl.= pres.

                             -ε (ν),   -ον                    -ετο,  -οντο

 

Infinitive = aor. stem + εῖν, -έσθαι...

Participle = aor. stem + ὼν, οῦσα/όμενος,-ομένη, κτλ.

Change the following from present to aorist:

 

ἄγει                              ἀποθνῄσκουσι                      ἀφικνούμεθα

βάλλετε                       γίγνεσθαι                              εὑρίσκοντες
