Dionysos in Orphic cosmology:

in the beginning was   Chronos  (not Kronos)

who begat  Chaos (void),  Erebos (darkness, and Aither (light).

In Aither is begotten the egg of Phanes (appearance),

which gives birth to Nyx (=Night)

who then produces Gaia and Ouranos

Hesiod’s creation proceeds until Zeus takes a turn, begetting

            Dionysos from Persephone

Hera in jealousy releases the Titans who devour Dionysos

The heart of Dionysos is swallowed by Zeus and …

in some versions, begotten upon Semele,

to perish and be reborn again.
