An Introduction to the
American Criminal Justice System
The Course Web Site/Syllabus and Study Guide
This course web site is the syllabus and study guide for CRM 210. A course syllabus is similar to a learning contract. It provides both the student and teacher with a document that describes, in part, what the course content will be, how it will be transmitted, how student performance will be evaluated, and how unethical conduct will be handled. Please familiarize yourself with the entire syllabus.
The Course Outline provides a week-by-week and day-to-day account of what we will be covering, when tests will be administered, when guests will be interviewed in class, and much more. You should check it before each class meeting to make sure you're up to speed. You'll also find lots of links from the syllabus/study guide to other sites on the Internet. In most instances, click on those links and reading the related web pages are considered "Optional Explorations." Items marked as "Optional Exploration" are not required readings.
