You must have a university-server-based email account open
for this course and keep your mailbox from being full.Your professors will be sending you emails, but
your email address must be .........@Missouri State (no hotmail, yahoo, etc.).
If you don't already have an email account with the university, you can open one at any Missouri State open computer lab. We will be sending you information via your email and, for grading purposes, we will assume you have received it all. Please check your account DAILY and please don't let it get full. If your mailbox fills, you won't be able to receive additional emails. Your professors are not responsible if you have not received an email sent to the entire class because your emailbox was full. This Syllabus and Study Guide was written to be read and studied. The dates of all of our class meetings, course policies (i.e., attendance, make-ups, non-discrimination, academic integrity, disability accommodation), the topics and outlines of our lectures, and the dates of all the quizzes are found in the syllabus. You'll also find links to sample tests for every chapter and to the website for the book as created by its authors. You are expected to familiarize yourself with this entire Syllabus and Study Guide before the end of the third meeting of the class.
Your professors may not announce test dates or any other event date if that test or event is found in the Syllabus and Study Guide. Lack of an announcement in class is no excuse for not knowing there was a test since the test dates are clearly identified in the Syllabus and Study Guide. The Syllabus and Study Guide also provides all of the course policies (i.e., attendance, grading, making-up tests, and more).
To access this online Course Syllabus and Study Guide you may use your own computer or any one of the hundreds of Internet-ready computers on campus or on computers anywhere in the world. The open labs at MSU may be found in Cheek Hall 150, Glass Hall 233, and in room 107 of Strong Hall.
