Previous Assignment: RoboHelp Modules 1 and 2
Due Date: February 1
About completing the modules
Complete Modules 1 and 2 in the Essentials of Adobe RoboHelp HTML 9 text. As you're completing these modules and upcoming modules, remember to do the following:
- Read each step carefully, and follow the directions closely.
- When the book tells you to save your work to your C: drive or your desktop, store your work, instead, in the appropriate folder on your flash drive.
- Make sure you're working in the correct folder for the module. Each module uses a different folder, and to receive credit, you must complete the assigned work in the proper folder. For Module 1, complete your work in the Learning_RoboHelp folder. For Module 2, complete your work in the policies folder.
- Complete all the exercises and Confidence Checks except for those that have you write answers in your book. The written Confidence Checks are optional.
- Generate your Help system at the end of each lesson, even if the book doesn't tell you to do so.
- Follow good design practices. If the book tells you to pick any color, any font, etc., pick colors that contrast well, fonts that are appropriate and readable, and so on. Treat the exercises with the same concern you would for your own work. Poor decisions will result in a loss of points.
- Space only once after punctuation.
Notes for completing Modules 1 and 2
In Module 1, don't complete the following pages: 8, 9, 10, and 11. On page 30, make sure the TOC in your project matches the screen capture.
In Module 2, on page 45, instead of importing the document as a FrameMaker file, import it as a Word file. See step 3 on page 46. Also, don't complete page 56.
On the due date, you will upload your work, in zipped format, to Blackboard. I will instruct you how to zip the files and upload them during class.
