Creating a New Help Project

When starting a new Help project in Adobe RoboHelp HTML 7, be sure to fill out the New Project Wizard dialog box carefully. Pay particular attention to the third box, which affects on what drive and in what folder your project will be stored.

To create the new Help project

  1. Click the Start button, point to All Programs, point to Adobe RoboHelp 7, and then click RoboHelp HTML.
  2. On the File menu, point to New, and then click Project.
  3. In the Project Type list, click the type of Help system you wish to create, and then click OK.
  4. In the Enter the title of this project box, type the name of your new project.
  5. In the Enter the file name for the project box, type a short name for your project.
  6. In the Enter the location for the project box, click the folder button Folder button.
  7. In the Look in list, select the drive for your project, and then click Open.
  8. In the Enter the title of the first topic box, type the first topic you will compose. Your screen should now resemble the following:
