Slavery Unit: BIO POEM PATTERN

Directions:  After you have read the biography of your African-American in history, you are to write a bio poem about them using the pattern below.  The amount of information you have in your article will determine how complete you can make your bio-poem.  Try to make it as complete as you can.

Oral Presentation:  You then will use this bio-poem as an oral presentation to give in front of the class.  In this way, we can share with each other all that we've learned about these important African Americans in history.

Evaluation:   You will be evaluated on the following:

*content of your poem,
*its form, the mechanics--spelling, grammar, punctuation, capitalization
*eye contact with the audience
