Diseases and physiological disorders of fruits, vegetables and ornamental plants. Emphasis is placed on the interactions between plants and pathogenic organisms, on environmental factors that cause plant diseases, and on disease control methods.
Principles of plant propagation and the techniques used by nurseries and greenhouses to propagate horticultural crops. Students will learn how plant growth and structure determine propagation methods, and will get hands-on experience in propagation techniques.
