1st Map Assignment

On the American Colonies map, label the items listed below.  You can use the maps at the Reference Maps page to look for the items to label on the American Colonies map.

Draw in the Blue Ridge, Great Valley, and Appalachian Mountains. Place dots at locations for towns that you label. You do not need to draw in rivers. The ones you will label are all on the map. Also, note Manhattan Island is on the map. Put the town of New York on the island.

On the Early Republic map label the items listed below. You can use the maps at the Reference Maps page to look for the items to label on the Early Republic map. Territories or regions, and states, are on the Territorial Expansion and New States sequence maps.  

Draw in the Erie Canal. Place dots at locations for towns that you label. You do not need to draw in rivers. The ones you will label are all on the map.
