1st Map Assignment

British America

Go to the Maps page for the blank British Empire in 1763 map and the Area of "the 13" map. Label the items below on the two maps. It will be easiest to label most of the items on the Area of "the 13" map.  You can use the maps at the Maps page in the Reference Maps to look for the items to label on the maps.

On the Area of "the 13" map, draw in the Appalachian Mountains.
For the locations of towns, draw in dots. 
You do not need to draw in rivers. The ones you will label are on one or the other map. 
Also, note Manhattan Island is on the Area of "the 13" map. Put the town of New York on the island.

2nd Map Assignment

Relief Maps and Migration

Download and use the blank relief map on the Maps page. Use a draw or paint program for the assignment.

On the map, locate and label Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Place a dot for and label Philadelphia.

Show and label the Appalachian Mountains, Tidewater, Fall Line, Piedmont, Blue Ridge, Great Valley, and the Roanoke River gap.

Draw and label the Great Wagon Road.

Show and label the migration area of the Germans who arrived in Philadelphia. Show and label the migration routes of the Scotch-Irish who arrived in Philadelphia.
