| Joe Hughes was born in Racine, WI and
graduated from Oak Creek (WI) High School in 1978. He received his B.A. in Classics from
University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee in 1982 and his Ph. D. in Classics from the University of Iowa in 1987. He is currently Professor of
Classics at Missouri State University in
Springfield, MO. Lisa Gray Hughes was born in Lawrenceburg, TN and graduated from Lawrence County High in 1978. She received her B.A. in English from Middle Tennessee State University in 1982 and her M.A. in English from MTSU in 1986. Formerly an Instructor of English at the former SMSU, Lisa began work at JPMorgan Chase in 1998, rising in 2010 to the rank of Senior Advisor. Joe somehow prevailed upon Lisa to marry him at Sacred Heart Parish in Springfield on 23 May 1992. They were granted nearly nineteen years of joyous married life before Lisa's death from metastatic breast cancer on 14 January 2011. Life fucking sucks. |
