Your assignment is to prepare a 10-15 minute presentation for the class on a topic of your choosing, dealing with the biology of Invertebrates.  Please pick a topic from one of the taxa that we have already considered in lecture.  You can expand on a topic presented in lecture, but please avoid duplicating points already made in class.   This work should be prepared and presented in PowerPoint (let me know if you need help with this).

You should gather information from at least 3 outside sources (not including your text) for your presentation.  These sources could be articles in the primary literature, other books, or Internet sites.  When using Internet sites, please try to find pages that have been prepared by the primary sources- researchers, epidemiologists, etc.

In addition to your talk, prepare a 1 page text summary, with references, and distribute it to the class.

1.  PICK A TOPIC:  Choose something that interests you and has significance.  Browse your text, browse the internet, and come up with two or more ideas.  I have compiled a list of links to help you find topics:  links page.

2.  TALK TO DR.BBy next Tuesday (April 4) let me know by e-mail what topic you want.  I don't want two people picking the same topic, so its first-come, first-served.  I'll confirm your choices and post the topics here.  Presentations will start on April 18.  Have fun with it!
