Location on campus:  on east side of sidewalk from parking lot near the Grand St., John Q. Hammons Parkway crosswalk.

·         leaves glaucous, opposite, mostly scale-like leaves, blue-green to blue, turning purplish in winter, ground-hugging

·         many, many cultivars

·         grows 6"-2' high (depending on cultivar) and 4-8' spread

·         requires full sun to part shade, well-drained soils

·         slow to medium growth rate

·         spider mites and Phomopsis blight can be serious pests
