Salix integra ‘Albomaculata:’ Dappled Willow

Location on campus:  near southeast corner of retention basin at the southwest corner of Grand and National

·         leaves alternate, simple, deciduous, linear-lanceolate with fine serrated margins; light green with white markings on new leaves

·         stems slender, yellow-tan

·         flowers non significant

·         grows 6-8' tall and wide in rounded outline

·         prefers full sun and moist soils

·         need to prune out old wood regularly to maintain dappled foliage on new growth and slender twigs
