Calamagrostis x acutiflora:  Feather Reed Grass

Location on campus:  north of Temple Hall, in median planting bed of drive leading to/from Bear Park South; on east side of JQH Arena.

·         cool-season grass, with narrow basal leaves 12-18” tall

·         stiff, upright, narrow silvery to white inflorescence panicles in late spring that persist through fall

·         adapted to more moist soils than other ornamental grasses

·         needs full sun
