Location on campus:  in garden area on north side of Meyer Library, off Kings St.

·         leaves opposite, evergreen, ovate, entire margins, 1-3” long, ˝ as wide

·         connate leaves (encircling stem) under terminal flower clusters

·         flowers in terminal umbels; coral red/orange, slender, trumpet-shaped; non-fragrant; flowers in mid-late spring

·         hummingbird attractant

·         prefers full sun to moderate shade; moist, well-drained, high organic matter soil

·         fast growth rate
