Ground Ivy, Creeping Charlie, Creeping Jenny

         creeping perennial that produces stolons in the Lamiaceae (Mint) family

         leaves opposite, rounded (about 1" diameter) with rounded lobes

         produces spikes of attractive purple flowers in late fall or spring

         prefers shady, cool sites, with adequate moisture but may grow anywhere

         spreads rapidly once present in a lawn
