Ground Ivy, Creeping Charlie, Creeping Jenny

·         creeping perennial that produces stolons in the Lamiaceae (Mint) family

·         leaves opposite, rounded (about 1" diameter) with rounded lobes

·         produces spikes of attractive purple flowers in late fall or spring

·         prefers shady, cool sites, with adequate moisture but may grow anywhere

·         spreads rapidly once present in a lawn
