Ceratostigma plumbaginoides:  Lungwort, Plumbago

Location on campus:  on the north side of the sidewalk leading to the shade-garden area north of Meyer Library.

·         Leaves alternate, deciduous, obovate, bright to light green with ciliate margins; about 3” long and ½ as wide

·         Grows 12” tall and 18” wide; tends to spread with age

·         Has deep blue flowers in summer to late fall in axils of leaves

·         Prefers part shade to full sun, well-drained soil
