Thompsons's Yucca
Yucca thompsoniana

Yucca thompsoniana: Thompson’s Yucca (also includes Yucca rostrata, Silver Yucca or Beaked Yucca)
· has slender, ½” wide, 2 foot long leaves of pale green to medium green or blue green forming a dense rosette at top of plant (Y. rostrata often is the bluer yucca form)
· leaves do not have fibers along the margins
· forms a trunk with age up to a height of 12-15 feet tall; trunk is gray-fibrous as leaves fall off with age
· flower stalks at top of plants have panicles of white flowers in late May to early June
- Thompson's Yucca also now includes the species Yucca rostrata, Beaked Yucca, which has more blue foliate than the usual Thompson's Yucca
