UNDERSTANDING STATEMENT: Just like the
Federal level of government, there are 3
branches to the Missouri state government.
They even have the same names! Executive,
Legislative, and Judicial.
INTRODUCTION: Have you ever wondered who
is in charge? You probably haven't thought
about this question much because mostly your
experience has included "Mom and Dad are in
charge or the teacher is in charge or the
recess supervisor is in charge." But what
about the state of Missouri? Just who is in
charge of the state? Who is making the
rules? Who is enforcing them and who is
deciding if they are fair? In this scavenger
hunt you will be locating information about
how the state government is set up in
Missouri. You need to be an informed
citizen!
