MOJAVE DESERT (for other deserts, go back to the previous page)

Before reaching our Mojave site, we stopped to camp in Joshua Tree National Park, and just had to do some rock climbing. We also stopped at a real oasis in Joshua Tree National Park, . . . . . . .
 . . . . . . . . and drove past a cholla "forest" Prickly-pear were also common and sometimes in bloom.
The Mojave desert has lots of lizard species . . . . . . . . .  . . . . . . . . . but they are hard to catch
Speaking of catching things, we managed to catch a Mojave rattlesnake when we were at the BYU field station in SW Utah.
