Alternanthera flavescens Kunth.; Yellow Chaff-flower, Yellow Joyweed;

·         Warm-climate perennial in the pigweed family

·         Has a much-branched, prostrate to upright-spreading growth habit

·         Leaves opposite, oval, with smooth, wavy margins and short hairs on stems and leaves

·         Flowers in clusters at tips of stems and in axils of leaves on 0.25 to 1 inch long stalks

·         Individual flowers small, pointed, white to yellowish, persistent
