Location on campus: near southeast door of Karls Hall
* Deciduous, alternate (arising from the ground), glabrous, variegated trifoliate leaves with serrated margins on leaflets; leaflets about 2” long and ˝ as wide
* Flowers in flat-topped umbels in late spring—not too showy
* Plant spreads by creeping roots to form solid groundcover about 6-12” above ground; may spread into adjacent turf or other planting beds if solid border is not used to contain it
* May die back in hot or dry summers, but usually recovers in fall
* Good for part-sun to light shade areas with adequate moisture and fertile soil
