Bitter Nightshade

o        creeping perennial vining plant, with creeping roots

o        climbs by stems wrapping around objects

o        leaves smooth, similar to Eastern Black Nightshade

o        stems usually purplish, strong odor to bruised stem and foliage

o        flowers white with purple center

o        fruit a small green to red to purple berry

o        more common in slightly to mostly shady areas
