      annual weed, with 1-3’ tall stems branching above the base

      leaves deeply divided, with teeth on leaf divisions

      flowers small, yellow, followed by 0.5-1.5” long elliptical pods that curve slightly

      found in wet soils, stream banks, non-crop areas

      some have smooth leaves, other very hairy—may be different natural varieties
