Mollugo verticillata L.; Carpetweed: (Bayer Code:  MOLVE; US Code MOVE)

·         A low-growing, mat-forming annual weed in the Carpetweed Family (Aizoaceae)

·         Grows 2-3 inches tall, but can spread 1-2 feet diameter per plant in good soil with adequate moisture

·         Forms little rosettes of narrow, elongated leaves that can quickly cover cultivated soil

·         Each new node can form new rosette which will root into soil

·         Common in early planted agronomic and vegetable crops, gardens and thin turf lawns

·         Control:  pre-emergent herbicides, cultivation, shading
