Corn Gromwell

·         annual or winter annual with alternate, linear, pubescent leaves in the Boraginaceae (Borage) family

·         tiny white flowers in leaf axils in mid to late spring

·         found in pastures, lawns, fencerows, winter annual crops, non-crop areas

·         roots were used to make a red dye

·         has some poisonous alkaloids in plant, but not commonly cause of poisoning
