Conyza ramosissima Cronq., Dwarf Fleabane:  (Bayer Code:  ERIDI; US Code CORA4)

·         U.S. native summer annual that grows from 3-6 inches tall  (in turf) and up to 12 inches tall (unmowed) and is equally wide or wider

·         Stems and leaves are covered with fine, soft hairs, and plants branch abundantly from the base of the plant, and along the side branches to make a dense mound of stems; entire plant has a dark, gray-green color

·         Leaves are linear, pointed, less than 1 inch long

·         Found in open turf, preferring moist soil, but can be found in dry sites, too

·         Head inflorescences are tiny, greenish or slightly pinkish and do not open fully until seeds/achenes are released; seeds are attached to pappus (“parachute-like hairs”) to allow wind dispersal
