Brickellia eupatorioides (L.) Shinners (formerly Kuhnia eupatorioides L.), False Boneset: (Bayer Code:  KUHEU; US Code BREU)

·         Native, creeping perennial spreading by rhizomes; has several stems arising from each plant base; grows 1-3 feet tall

·         Leaves are lanceolate to linear, with short petioles and toothed margins

·         Flowers are at tops and lateral branches of plants, cream colored ¼ inch diameter head inflorescences; inflorescences more panicle-like, not dense, flat-topped clusters as with Eupatorium spp.

·         Tends to increase in overgrazed pastures, since less palatable as it matures

·         Similar species are the white-flowered Eupatorium spp:

             ·         Tall Joepyeweed (Eupatorium altissimum) – has lanceolate leaves with toothed margins and dense, rounded to flat-topped terminal inflorescences

             ·         Late Eupatorium (Eupatorium serotinum) – has narrow-triangluar leaves with toothed margins, and inflorescences are in dense, rounded to flat-topped terminal inflorescences
