Fourpoint Evening Primrose:  (pp. 378-379 in Weeds of the Great Plains; not in Weeds of the Northeast)      

§  more common on sandy soils

§  has more branches from base, and more flowers usually are blooming at one time (showy) than common or biennial evening primrose

§  flower petals are diamond-shaped, and have a rounded point at the tip, compared to the blunt or notched petal tips of common evening primrose

§  stem leaves are narrower and much shorter and more dense on fourpoint evening primrose
