§  Is a biennial or winter annual with a rosette of finely divided leaves in the first year, followed by slender, green stalks 12-24 inches tall with linear leaves during flowering

§  Flowers are bluish-purple, about ½ inch diameter

§  Often not noticed unless growing in large population
