·         Warm-season annual weed with low-growing, spreading growth habit

·         Grows 3-30” tall, but with much spreading, mat forming branching

·         Leaves dark green, oval shaped, often with whitish-appearing edge

·         Inflorescence small and in leaf axils

·         Found in cultivated fields, disturbed soils, non-cropland—more common in western Midwest
