·         Silver Cinquefoil: (not in Weeds of the Great Plains; mentioned on pp. 298-299, Weeds of the Northeast)

o   Simple perennial with leaves deeply lobed (like a silver maple)  or palmately compound with 5-7 leaflets and dark green upper sides and silvery undersides

o   Stems more spreading, often found in lawns; grows about 6” tall and 12” wide

o   Common in sandy soils of upper Midwest
