·         Warm-season annual weed with broad-spreading, much-branched growth habit

·         Grows about 1-3’ tall and equally wide or wider

·         Leaves, stems pale yellow-green; leaves small, lanceolate

·         Inflorescence is small, in leaf axils

·         Breaks off at ground at maturity, rolling with the wind, dispersing seed

·         Found in cultivated fields, roadsides, disturbed sites, non-crop land

·         Not as common as other pigweeds/amaranths in Missouri
