o       warm-season annual weed with broad-spreading, much-branched growth habit

o       grows about 1-3’ tall and equally wide or wider

o       leaves, stems pale yellow-green; leaves small lanceolate

o       inflorescence is small, in leaf axils

o       breaks off at ground at maturity, rolling with the wind, dispersing seed

o       found in cultivated fields, roadsides, disturbed sites, non-crop land

o       not as common as other pigweeds/amaranths in Missouri
