·        Summer annual, usually rounded, branched plant, growing 6-18” tall

·        Leaves are shiny dark green and deeply lobed with 3 lobes and smaller lobes on each lobed

·        Produces large creamy flowers with purplish throat at stem tips; fruit is a globe-shaped capsule

·        Found in cultivated fields, gardens
