Waterpod: (p. 324-325 in Weeds of the Great Plains, not in Weeds of the Northeast)

·         summer annual with deeply-divided alternated leaves in the Waterleaf Family (Hydrophyllaceae)

·         grows 4-12” tall and has tiny white flowers in axils of leaves, followed by small green, then brown, pea-sized capsule

·         common in sandy soils, in disturbed soil sites—cropland, roadsides, urban areas, lawns, gardens
