Ambrosia psilostachya DC., Western Ragweed: (Bayer Code:  AMBPS; US Code AMPS)

·         A creeping perennial weed, with creeping roots; more common west of here; is a noxious weed in some western states

·         Has leaves similar to common ragweed, but stems and leaves are thicker, more rough-textured than common ragweed

·         Inflorescence/flowers similar to common ragweed

·         Grows 12-36 inches tall, found in most soils except very wet

·         Common in vacant lots, roadsides, pastures
