Achillea millefolium L., Common Yarrow: (Bayer Code:  ACHMI; US Code ACMI2)

·         Is a native, creeping perennial that forms basal rosettes of feathery, finely divided leaves, then extends up flowering stems that are topped with flat-topped clusters of white flowers (other colors in cultivated varieties); somewhat similar in appearance to Wild Carrot  

·         Flowering stems grows 12-30 inches tall; foliage primarily in rosettes near ground

·         May be poisonous to livestock when heavily grazed

·         Prefers full sun, tolerant of hot, dry sites

·         Spreads by seeds and short, creeping roots
