Yellow Bluestem(not in Weeds of the Northeast, nor Weeds of the Great Plains)

·         warm-season perennial grass with spreading, mostly bunch-type growth habit

·         one of the old-world bluestems (similar to Caucasian Bluestem)

·         has thin, light green, rolled leaves with long hairs at base of leaf blades

·         inflorescences is a tan to purplish digitate panicle on top of slender, nearly leafless culm

·         not common, but will spread once established in a lawn
